Hilda Kajbaf is an associate in Proskauer’s Litigation Department and a member of the Appellate Group.

Hilda’s appellate practice began before graduating law school, when she represented a domestic violence survivor from Guatemala before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and secured a published opinion in her client’s favor. See Diaz-Reynoso v. Barr, 968 F.3d 1070 (9th Cir. 2020). After law school, Hilda worked for the U.S. Department of Justice as a member of the U.S. Attorney General’s Honors Program, where she served as a clerk at the Board of Immigration Appeals, advising appellate immigration judges on complex administrative and immigration matters.

Prior to joining Proskauer, Hilda clerked for the Honorable Beth Robinson at the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. She was also a litigation associate at an international law firm, where she worked on matters in state and federal courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court.

Outside of her legal practice, Hilda coaches students competing in national moot court competitions at both the undergraduate and law school levels.
